Tampereen Sähkölaitos is investing into energy efficiency and renewable energy. By 2030, a staggering 95% of Tampere's district heating CO2 emissions will have been reduced compared to 2010. The Sähkis-service we jointly set out to create is a part of Tampereen Sähkölaitos’ investment towards the environment and a key step in achieving efficiency for their customers. The new Sähkis End-user Portal and Contractor Portal sought to bring a unified and modern user experience and increase flexibility for Tamperen Sähkölaitos. The old systems could not be modified properly and building new integrations to enable new features onto the old system was impossible.
After looking for a solution for many years, Tampereen Sähkölaitos finally seized the opportunity to realize their digital transformation and invest in the environment with the low-code superpowers of eSystems– fast.
The overarching goal was to quickly begin generating ideas to embark on the journey in unifying and creating a world-class customer experience throughout Tampereen Sähkölaitos. Through streamlining services and user experience with one great technology to grow on, Tampereen Sähkölaitos aimed to eliminate vendor-lock and achieve long-term cost savings through the projects.
Our objective was to modernize and create flexibility in existing services and to create new services fast while prioritizing ease of use and customer needs. Customer-centered service creation was at the core of the project, and ultimately guided us to achieving unparalleled value for the customers.
Tampereen Sähkölaitos had the opportunity to finally realize two years of planning and wishful thinking into working solutions through the new technology and partnership with eSystems- bringing efficiency and furthering their environmental efforts.
Together we have accomplished a huge change in the culture and how things are done at Tampereen Sähkölaitos. Development methods and tools have changed towards Agile.
